2.1 Material Group Architecture

  • The Segmentation Logic: We do not treat all parts equally. Defining the four strategies based on the material nature:
    • Class A (Strategic/High Value): Processors, Custom PCBs, Connectors. Strategy: Contract negotiation, safety stock agreements, direct manufacturer relationships.
    • Class B (Mid-Range): Standard ICs, FETs. Strategy: Franchise distribution, bonding.
    • Class C (Commodities): Resistors, Capacitors (C-R-C). Strategy: Automated replenishment, VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory).
    • Consumables: Solder paste, flux, IPA. Strategy: Shelf-life management focus.
