5.2 Environmental Controls
Environmental control is the invisible shield that keeps components reliable long before they reach the soldering iron.reliable. Moisture and static are the silent killers, creepingkillers in unnoticedelectronics untilmanufacturing, they causecausing latent failures, costly rework, or critical field returns. By clearly defining clear storage zones, locking down humidity and temperature setpoints, and groundingdemanding everydisciplined surface, material handling, the factory buildsestablishes a climate of predictability. The discipline is simple but powerful: whenWhen environments remain boring, production lines stay calm and parts survive intact.
